Camping le Soleil, one of our top sites for over 40 years, has an enviable location with direct access to an uncrowded stretch of sandy beach. There is a real holiday atmosphere here making it an ideal base for families, sun-seekers and watersports enthusiasts alike, with excellent facilities and a well-organised entertainment programme.

The focal point is the fantastic tropical pool complex and bar, set amongst mature trees and flowering shrubs. Soak up the rays on the spacious sun deck while the children splash around in the pool. In the evenings, sample a delicious meal from the restaurant before heading to the bar for the lively evening entertainment. Every evening during July and August, there is an underground nightclub for teenagers.

Local Area Finding Camping le Soleil

From the north:
follow the signs for Perpignan and exit the A9 at Perpignan Sud (jnct. 42). Once through the peage take the slip road off to your right, direction Argelès, Moulin A Vent and Porte d’Espagne.
After 2km, at the first roundabout exit right onto the N9, direction Argelès, Gerone, Porte d’Espagne.
At the second and third roundabout, take the second exits.
You will now join the D914, direction Argelès and Elne.
Stay on the D914 for approx. 13km and exit at junction 10, following signs for Taxo d’Avall.
At the top of the slip road take the left turn at the roundabout taking you back over the dual carriageway to another roundabout, take the third exit, again signed Taxo d’Avall.
*Follow this road for 3.2km, at the roundabout take the third exit, direction St Cyprien. At the large roundabout take the first exit onto the D81, direction Argelès-sur-Mer.
Camping le Soleil is signposted 800m on the left, before you reach the sign, 'Bienvenue a Argelès-sur-Mer’; you will see to your right a terracotta apartment complex.
Take the next left turn here.
Camping le Soleil is a further 700m at the end of the dirt track.

From the south:
exit the A9 at Le Boulou (jnct 43), signposted Le Boulou, Ceret, Argelès-sur-Mer.
Turn left off the roundabout onto the D115 direction Argelès-sur-Mer.
At the next roundabout exit right on to the D618, direction Port Vendres and Argelès-sur-Mer.
Follow the D618 and as you reach the outskirts of Argelès pass over the D914. Take the last exit at the roundabout to bring you down onto the D914, direction Perpignan.
Exit at junction 10, following signs for Taxo d’Avall.

The local Area around Camping le Soleil

Camping le Soleil sits behind rolling sand dunes that leads to a wide sandy beach. It’s about a 25 minute walk to the lively tourist resort of Argelès-Plage. Several times a day a tourist train departs from outside the campsite to the port and town of Argelès-sur-Mer.

There is a fun fair and go-kart track next door to site -please note that some noise may be heard from emplacements. Le Tropique de Papillion is a butterfly farm, home to many species - you may be lucky enough to have one land on your arm. Discover the world of dinosaurs and see the reconstructed skeletons at the Dinosaur Museum in Esperaza (70mls). Guided boat trips leave from Argelès-sur-Mer and St Cyprien port.
