Camping la Garangeoire is an intimate 'Castels and Camping' site, awarded a prestigious 'four red tents' rating by Michelin. Set in the 200-hectare estate of a family château and away from the hustle and bustle of the coast, you will feel a sense of tranquility and calm amongst the attractive mature oak trees.
Nestled in the woodland are very spacious, grassy emplacements which have some shade and offer privacy. The quiet surroundings of the on site lake are ideal for a spot of boating or fishing. There is plenty here to keep the children happy too - a great pool complex with waterslides, a playroom and archery to name a few. Evenings here are spent at the convivial bar and restaurant, housed in the outbuildings of the château - some entertainment is on offer in high season.

Our Comfort Plus mobile homes are ideal for larger families or for 2 couples sharing. There are 2 bedrooms, a double and a twin (a drop down bunk sleeps an extra child on some campsites), plus an open plan living area with dining table and sofas that convert into an extra bed.

Our 3-bedroomed Select mobile homes are very spacious. They offer a comfortable living space that is ideal if you are travelling with friends or extended family. There are 3 bedrooms, a shower room with toilet and sink, plus a roomy, open plan living area with comfy sofas and a fully-equipped kitchen.

The Select Plus represents real luxury, with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The spacious living area offers a comfy sofa (which easily converts into an extra double bed) plus coffee table and stereo, as well as a separate dining space, complete with dining table and chairs. The fully-equipped kitchen has the added luxury of a dishwasher, plus fridge-freezer and microwave.

Local Area Finding Camping la Garangeoire
From the north or south:
at La Roche sur Yon, follow D948 for 16km in the direction of Aizenay, St Gilles Croix de Vie.
Continue following the D948 around Aizenay until you can leave the D948 for the D6 in the direction of Cöex, St Gilles Croix de Vie.
Follow the D6 for 10km and just before Cöex, turn left onto the D21 (La Chapelle Hermier).
Pass through La Chapelle Hermier in the direction of St Julien des Landes (still D21).
You will find the campsite after 2km on the left.
From La Rochelle Airport:
join the ring road heading north, and follow signs for La Roche sur Yon, then follow the above directions.

The local Area around Camping la Garangeoire
La Garangeoire is located close to the sleepy village of St Julien des Landes, where you will find basic facilities. The town of La Mothe Achard (3.5mls) offers a selection of shops, bars and restaurants. The closest beach is at Bretignolles sur Mer (8mls), where you will find watersports facilities, which include sailing and windsurfing.
Children will enjoy the nature trails that lead from site around the local woodland. There are several routes to choose from, with varying degrees of difficulty. Apremont (8mls) is a picturesque village with a delightful lake where you can enjoy a spot of relaxation, a picnic, swimming or hire rowing boats and pedaloes.
