Camping l'Oceano d'Or is ideally located on the edge of the bustling seaside resort of Jard-sur-Mer. Set in unspoilt countryside, this attractive, well-kept campsite has grassy emplacements bordered by low hedges and small trees providing some privacy. The large swimming pool complex has a spacious sun terrace overlooked by the bar, with two fun waterslides and a heated children's pool. There are plenty of sporting activities to suit all ages, including tennis, basketball, football and bike hire. In high season the campsite organise a lively entertainment programme including live music and discos. The closest beach is at Jard-sur-Mer where you can also find a good selection of shops, restaurants and watersports in high season.

Our Choice mobile homes offer a little more space at great value for money. The bright and airy accommodation offers 2 bedrooms (a double and a twin), plus the seating in the lounge converts into an extra bed. There is a shower room and toilet, plus fully-equipped kitchen.

Our 2-bedroomed Select mobile homes are ideal if you are travelling as a larger family or have older children. For added privacy, the bedrooms are at opposite ends of the accommodation, each with its own en-suite facilities. The roomy, open plan living area offers a comfy sofa, dining table and chairs, plus fully equipped kitchen area.

There are 3 bedrooms, a shower room with toilet and sink, plus a roomy, open plan living area with comfy sofas and a fully-equipped kitchen.

Local Area Finding Camping l'Oceano d'Or
From Nantes (north):
On the Nantes Periphèrique (sud) follow La Rochelle and Bordeaux, take exit 48B onto A83 motorway.
Take exit 4, La Roche-sur-Yon. Follow D160, Les Sables D'Olonne.
At roundabout take exit for Talmont St Hilaire, follow D949 to Talmont.
In Talmont St Hilaire take the D21 signposted Jard sur mer.
*Once you reach Jard sur mer turn left at the first roundabout and the campsite is on the right hand side (the campsite is well signposted once you get to Jard sur mer).
From the South; Head towards La Rochelle on A10 and then A837.
Continue on road, take the turn off for Lagord and follow the signs at the roundabout taking the 3rd exit.
Do not turn off for Lagord but follow this road until you come to roundabout go straight across taking the D105.
Go across the next roundabout.
At the next roundabout take the exit for Villedoux D10.
Stay on D10 at T-junction turn left, heading for Triaze.
At Triaze take D746 for St Michel en L'Herm.
At St Michel continue on D746 following signs for Aiguillon.
Just before Aiguillon take D46 then D1046 heading for La Tranche.
Near La Tranche follow Longeville.
Go through Longeville and take signs for Jard sur mer.
As you drive into Jard sur mer you will see the campsite on the left hand side of the road.

The local Area around Camping l'Oceano d'Or
The little harbour town of Jard-sur-Mer with its narrow streets and formidable abbey is just over a mile from the campsite, here you will find good choice of bars, restaurants and shops. The popular resort of Sables d'Olonne (13mls) has a good beach and a wide selection of amenities, as well as a popular zoo.
A fun family day out is to Zoo des Sables d'Olonne, home to many animals and endangered species, all housed in a near natural habitat. Visit La Rochelle Aquarium to see 10, 000 species of sea creatures and the spectacular shark tank.
